About Thompson's Corner
Donnoe Family Private Collection, San Diego, CA
(Giclee Available)

Those people who frequent Thompson's Corner, which I'm told is one of the oldest bars in California, know that much of the character of the saloon is on the ceiling. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll have to go see for yourself. Because my parents took me to Thompson's Corner on my 21st birthday, the bartender that night respectfully put a ribbon from my shoe on the ceiling - nothing else. Honest!!!

I also recall riding a horse to Thompson's Corner with my good friend Ada. (She owned the horses). Plus in 1977 I set up my very dear friend, Penny on a blind date with my other dear friend, Gary, at Thompson's Corner. I'm pleased to say Penny and Gary are still happily married today.

Although the original painting of Thompson's Corner has been sold a giclee is available.
